Want to be the first one to gather high-tier materials in the black zone? For more information be sure to check out his guide on the forums. A common question asked is — can I gather all materials or should I stick focus on one? Generally, you will want to stick with one resource as Albion Online is a game that rewards dedication and specialization. However, many players will reach T4 on all materials as this can be done fairly quickly.

It is important to choose one material to gather as prices become wildly expensive for high tiers. Gathering in Albion Online can seem repetitive and tedious at times, thankfully there are a number of ways to speed up your progression and get a leg up on the competition!

If you specialize in gathering a specific resource then the LP cost for tier completion is not that high. Using Learning Points can shave hours off of your gathering time and help you get to higher tier nodes faster.

Using a mount will massively speed up your gathering times! If not, you could always aim for the donkey — a quick and sturdy mount which is obtained by referring a friend to the world of Albion Online. Which is a good time to state that if you have not joined the community, you can join through my referral link here.

Consuming pies will give you an additional gathering boost. They will provide more gathering fame as well as a higher quantity of valuable resources. Finally, equipping gathering gear can provide great benefits. Gathering gear in Albion Online comes with great defensive escape abilities that let you slip away from enemy ganks without losing your resources.

EDIT: One additional tip is to base yourself out of a town that is adjacent to the type of resource you want to gather. There is nothing worse for progression time than having long commutes back to town to drop off a load of resources, and then making the long run back to your gathering zone.

For example, fiber harvesters should base themselves out of a town surrounded by swamp tiles rather than a forest biome. Placing yourself in the proper biome is ideal, although some players may not have a choice if they must follow their guild. The times below will provide a baseline for gatherers to aim for. Your gathering progression may vary based on luck and node competition.

The easy answer is to always use the highest tier available to you.Your browser has JavaScript disabled. If you would like to use all features of this site, it is mandatory to enable JavaScript. The post was edited 1 time, last by Worros Jan 16thpm.

Food Buffs Table

Everyone knows that gathering is really difficult and fun thing in the game, here is my suggestion; 1- Avalonian tools wants so much energy it has to be lower cause we are already wearing really expensive gear, atleast it may want half energy 2- Gathering backpacks are useless none using it anymore so you may add passive skill to it like other faction cape, These passive can be added only on t8 item otherwise ppl can start to use it as a cape on normal time 3- Why we dont have gathering combat fame?

We can use it to increase spec not to unlock next tier, it may help to ppl get high spec on gathering. As someone who gathers all resources up to T8 I only agree with backpack suggestion. Everything else is fine imo. Albion is a game of risk and reward and grind ofc. If you can't easily replace your set then don't risk it. Simple as that. Lower tier sets would server no purpose to be honest because you are gathering T2 resources as soon as you leave tutorial area.

As soon as you decide to start gathering any resource you hit T4 in like - what? An hour? Two maybe? So low level sets would really serve no purpose. That's just my opinion.

Backpacks could really do with a buff though. I do wish gathering gear wasn't a null fame sink, though maybe convert it to credits? Puppies: Give all gathering mobs, aspects and especially the world bosses the chance of puppies, so they are similar worth to kill, gather and be contested.

Currently the Old White is to worth to do it because of the mammoth calf drops. Don't say that about T8 yield It's very important. Gathering speed improves on its own with specialization. The more you gather nods of Tx the higher your spec gets and with it the speed at which you gather these nods improves as well. While the improvement you suggest would certainly make it easier for gatherers to collect resources this will directly impact other aspects of the game. First of all, you allow less time to players who are ganking to jump their pray.

While we don't like being ganked we have to understand that this games promotes this kind of behavior and therefore we must recognize the need for the ganking window to exist. Furthermore, the resources would lose a lot of their value if they were easier and safer to obtain. What they could do is offer a trade off with food buffs. Perhaps they could introduce a food buff which rather then increasing your gathering yield and carry capacity would improve gathering speed and perhaps something else to some extent - like movement speed.

Then you give players a choice. You wanna gather more but slower or less but faster. I would still see majority of the players go for pies but at least the option to go the other route would be there. If anything I would say that backpacks could perhaps offer a minor gathering speed buff. You still have to skin them after. There are 5 different biomes. Each biome has 3 resources that will spawn in that area. It will also display what Tier of resources are available. Advanced info When gathering in blue zones use an ox and bring at least 2 tools.

This will save trips to town. When gathering in yellow zones use an ox or horse. It depends on how confident you are. Meaning a stack of iron will become Red and black zones horse only. Oxes are easy to take down if they have a bleed or dot that prevents you from getting into gallop. Also if you get dismounted you will likely be so overweight that there is no chance of running.

Always stay on your mount or in the mountable circle. If you see a red player on screen mount up and run or fight if you want right away. You may win or some help may come. In red and black zones best weapon to use for escaping is bloodletter artifact 1h dagger It has two dashes and you can use a cool down reduction item in your off hand Mistcaller artifact or torch. If bloodletter cost too much other daggers also also quite good for getting away as they have the dash on W.

Expert info It is always beneficial to spend LP as soon as you can if you have the next tier tool and gathering gear available. This way you get up to a higher tier faster and get more fame per gather.

When gathering it is less efficient to gather resources higher then the tier of your tool. Ex: If you have a T4 tool T4 resources will give you the most fame per time. T5 will be less efficient then even T3 since T5 takes so long to gather. This means more fame which means quicker leveling and more resources. Use food, it will make its cost back.

Nutrition: Nutrition is needed to maintain Guild Territories as well as crafting buildings. If a guild territory runs out of food, you lose ownership of it. If a crafting building runs out of food, you will be unable to use it until more food is added.

Nutrition is consumed when crafting at crafting stations and over time for guild territories. Every building has a favorite food and when you use this food on them, the nurtition is doubled. Player buff: When a player consumes food, they are given a buff. The type and potency of the buff is determined by the type and tier of the food that is consumed.
